Research Interests
Major research interests: Design and synthesis of antimicrobial, analgesic, and antitumor agents. Development of new methodology for the synthesis of new biologically active nitrogen heterocycles. Strycture activity relationship studies. Collaboration with the National Cancer Institute (USA) for the in vitro and in vivo evaluation of anticancer activity of new potential antitumor agents.
Biographical Information
Assistent professor of medicinal chemistry at the School of Pharmacy of the University of Cagliari. He obtained his "laurea" in Pharmacy from the University of Cagliari in 1974. 1981 Assistent professor in Organic Chemistry. 1999 Assistent professor in Medicinal Chemistry. 1989 professor in Medicinal Chemistry in the School of Toxicology 1999 professor of Toxicological Chemistry in the School of Environment, Food and Drug Toxicology 2003 professor of Analytical and Medicinal Chemistry in the School of Pharmacy.
